Alexander Prakash Mohan, of Houston, Texas, was born on June 16, 1990, and passed away on June 27, 2022.  The world lost a wonderful soul and a very special person.  Alexander (Alex) touched so many people in many ways.

Alexander's birth was celebrated by the Mohan clan (an immigrant family) because Alex was the first Mohan grandchild born in America.  Alex was a beautiful baby boy.  His parents & entire family loved him very much and gave him a very happy childhood.  Alex was a very happy child and would smile at everyone and happily let anyone pick him up and hold him.  Alex was very bighearted and generous from the very start.  He would happily share his toys with all his little friends.

For his third birthday Alex received a little baby sister as a gift, a day after his birthday.  Alex was a very proud and loving big brother.  He looked after his little sister Veronica and protected her from school bullies.  He would watch over her when they walked to & from school.  Veronica adored her big brother.  At age 7 Alex joined the neighborhood Swim and Racquet Club swim team.  Following his footsteps his sister also joined the same team.  Alex also learned Tai Kwan Do.  He did very well and earned a brown belt.  Alex traveled to India, Canada and Mexico in addition to domestic trips to New York, Iowa, New Jersey, and California.  Alex was loved by all his grandparents, uncles, aunts & cousins.

As a little boy, Alex loved Power Rangers, and later enjoyed the Simpsons.  He leaned to be an excellent skate border.  He   loved    Rock-n- Roll music and organized many garage bands.  He liked performing in local concerts.  He played guitar and base guitars.

After graduating from Klein Oak High School, he earned his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University.  A few years later he decided to go back to school for a second degree in Psychology at the University of Houston.  Alex wanted to study psychology so he could understand how the human mind works.  He wanted become a psychologist/counselor so he could help people struggling with mental illnesses.  As of January 2022, Alex had finished all of the requirements for his degree except one math class.  He was just 3 credit hours short of completing his second degree, unfortunately his life was cut short.

Alex touched many lives in his short 32-year life.  In addition to his family, a lot of people are already missing him.  A lot of his friends are very sad & upset to have lost a wonderful friend who was always happy to lend a helping hand without expectation.  Alex generously gave more than his time to others.  Alex's passing has left a huge hole for his family.

Alex was an activist for various causes.  He passionately campaigned for equality and fairness everyone.  He supported good governess and eradication of corruption in politics.  He was a member of the Free Thinker's Society and The Last Outpost, where he donated a lot of his time working in organic farming.  He also donated time to Hindu temples where he helped in their organic vegetable patch of the temple.  He was generous with the homeless and poor.  He would help anyone needing help, like helping his friend Rosie rebuild her chicken coup.

He is survived by his father, Tony S.K. Mohan; mother, Lisa Ann Gatewood; second mother, Ritu P. Mohan; sisters, Veronica L. Mohan and Elyse Gatewood; and brother, Vikaas A. Mohan: Uncle Anil Mohan and aunts Monica Mohan and Sunita Sethi:  Grandpa Ronald McLellan and Grandma Marcella McLellan:  Uncle Lawrence McLellan & Aunt Jennifer: Uncle Kevin McLellan:  Uncle Mark McLellan & Aunt Kathy McLellan.

A celebration of Alexander's life will be held on July 9 ^th , 2022, from 2:00 Pm until 5:00 Pm; at the Woodlands Country Club – 100 Grand Fairway, The Woodlands, Tx 77381phone No. 281-863-1400.  A notice for this event will be sent out soon.  All of Alex's friends and friends of the family are well come to come celebrate Alex's life with his family.
