Obituary

Alexander (Al) Loyd Kelly, 84, was born on July 30, 1932, and went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2016. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Dot Kelly; one son, Todd Kelly & wife Tere Kelly of Cypress, Texas. In addition, he was "B-caw" to his grandchildren; Joe and Tara. He is survived by his brother, James Kelly & wife Pat Kelly of Moss Point, Mississippi.

Al actively served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955 and served in the Air Force reserves as a Chief Master Sergeant for 34 years at the U.S. Naval Air Station of New Orleans, Louisiana. He retired from the civil service after 38 years.

Al and Dot moved to Cypress 11 years ago to be closer to their son and family and were active members of Foundry United Methodist Church. His priorities were always the Lord, his wife and his family.

He was a man of great character, humble and gentle. He adored his family and had a servant's heart. His smile and sense of humor always lit up a room.

In Lieau of flowers, gifts can be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association of Houston or to Foundry United Methodist church, 8350 Jones Rd., Houston, Tx. 77065 .
