Alexander David Gwosdz, 32, of Cypress, Texas passed away April 22, 2021. He was born on January 9, 1989 in Houston, Texas to Chris and Sara Gwosdz. Alex was a 2007 Graduate of Cy-Fair High School and went on to attend Sam Houston State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Continuing his love for law enforcement, Alex joined the Harris County Sheriff Office in 2012. He was assigned to District 5 Patrol as a Deputy, where he was involved in High Water Rescue and SRG.

Alex enjoyed off time with his family and friends, riding ATVs, hunting and fishing. He participated in Heroes runs and a Spartan race.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Jose Simon Salinas and Leon Eugene Gwosdz and Uncles, Steve Salinas and Edward Okonski Jr. and Cousin, Louis Gonzalez Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Sara Gwosdz and sister, Catherine Gwosdz. His grandmothers Victoria Salinas and Margaret Gwosdz, godparents, Simon Salinas III and Patty Enstrom, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
