Alejandro (Alex) Tambunga Morin, made his journey to heaven on Saturday, April 29, 2023. His loss here on earth is great as he was the last of the 10 children in this generation of the Morin family. They are once again all together. Our hearts are broken, yet rejoicing that he is in the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, and in a much better place and no longer suffering.

Born in D'hanis, Texas on May 12 ^th , 1933 to parents Nievas & Lucia Morin. He attended D'Hanis schools and graduated D'Hanis High School in 1952 where He excelled in Baseball and played sports all 4 years. He was drafted into the Army in August 1953 and stationed in Germany and became a rifle expert and was awarded 2 ^nd best in his Infantry regiment. He was discharged in June 1955.

He returned to D'Hanis and eventually settled in Houston. He worked as a brick & stone mason until his retirement. He married Lucille Campbell in Monterrey, Mexico on the 4 ^th of July in 1963.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Morin Wiesepape, fiancé Sammy Roberson and grandsons, Tyler & Taylor Denner. Daughter Lisa Lira and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Lucille Morin and parents Nieves & Lucia Morin, and all of his siblings, Jesus, Crispin, Francisca, Arnufo, Genevieva, Arturo, Raul, Dominga, Eustolia, Armando, and Efrain. He also leaves behind nieces & nephews, many friends, and his two beloved dogs Tex & Rex.

He was a devoted father & grandfather who attended every football & baseball game, Boy scout event, & FFA program. He spent countless hours building livestock pens & helping with show animals, especially the cattle.

He had an amazing memory and loved to tell interesting stories from his childhood and life growing up which included visits from his guardian angel, picking cotton, laying brick, and his service in the military as a radio operator while stationed in Germany and was especially proud of his Native American Comanche heritage.

Even at the age of 89, he had a passion for reading and learning so he could continue to instill that in his loved ones. Fishing, Hunting, Gardening, mowing, cooking "his" beans, spending time with family, watching Gunsmoke & westerns, & striving to become the next lotto winner brought him the most joy.

His gardens, roses, hibiscus, and tomatoes were legendary. He was strong willed & stubborn yet charming with a witty sense of humor with a smile that lit up the room. His life impacted so many. He loved sharing his immense wisdom and love of life and encourage others to live life to the fullest.

He will forever be remembered as a kind, compassionate, honest, hard working, and respected loving man. We love you and will miss you tremendously.

Ranch House Chapel & Lodge located at

27975 Old Hwy 105 West, Montgomery, Texas, 77316.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Planting of a Pecan Orchard to Honor his memory and love of Pecan trees.
