Obituary

Albert Clyde Hale, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and pastor, passed into the presence of Jesus on May 27, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was 76 years old.

Born on April 2, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, Albert spent his adult life serving the Lord with integrity, humility, and unwavering faith—a journey that began with a radical encounter with God's grace in the 1970s. As a young man, during a season when he was not walking with the Lord, Albert experienced the life-changing mercy of Jesus that turned his heart and set his feet on a new path. From that moment forward, he devoted himself wholly to Christ and extended that same grace to others.

He was the founding pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship—later known as Generations Church—in Spring, Texas, where he ministered faithfully from 1984 until his passing. In addition to his local ministry, he founded Grace Global Outreach, a missions organization responsible for supporting dozens of orphans and establishing over 750 village churches throughout Africa, India, and Central America.

Albert was a mentor to countless pastors, preachers, and teachers, both at home and abroad. He possessed a deep well of biblical wisdom, yet always carried himself with humility, deflecting praise and pointing people to the grace and lordship of Jesus. His life was shaped by a simple but powerful truth: Jesus is Lord. He believed wholeheartedly in the Holy Spirit's power to transform lives—however far one had fallen—and in the miraculous hope offered through faith in Christ.

He was a self-taught virtuoso pianist with a beautiful singing voice, a gifted communicator of God's Word, and a man who loved to laugh. Whether in the woods with a hunting rifle, out on the water with a fishing pole, or at the dinner table surrounded by loved ones, Albert was most alive when sharing life with the people he cherished.

He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Monica Hale; his son, Scott Hale, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Hale; and his treasured grandchildren, Julius, Mason, and Adaline Hale. He is also survived by his brother Paul Hale (Tammy), his sister Paulette Jimmerson (Dwight), his brother-in-law Emory Davis, as well as his beloved nieces and grand-nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, Julius C. Hale; his mother, June Hale; and his sister, June Ann Davis.

Those who knew Albert will remember him as a man of unshakable integrity—faithful when no one was watching, generous without need for recognition, and fiercely loyal to the church family God put in his hands. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and spiritual family that stretches across the globe.

A memorial service celebrating Albert's life and ministry will be held at Generations Church in Spring, Texas, on Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00 AM (viewing at 10:00 AM). Burial will take place at Forest Park - The Woodlands
