Albert Edward Greenwood, Jr. passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Ed, also known lovingly by his family as Dudley, was born on March 6, 1935 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert Greenwood and Edith Kuhns Greenwood Feitusch, and his step-father Oswald Feitusch. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Hanke Greenwood (who he met at a singles event in The Poconos), his son Page Greenwood, his wife Anne, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jenna, and his daughter Julie Greenwood and her fiancée Rich, plus 2 (of many throughout the years) cats, Dudley the Cat and Jezebel.

Ed graduated from Kingston High School, Wilkes College, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After completing his internship at The Philadelphia General Hospital, he and Evelyn moved to Dover, DE in 1959, where he joined a local dental practice and eventually opened his own until his retirement in 2004.

Ed happily lived on Silver Lake in Dover enjoying hosting the annual Indiana Barbecue with neighbors and friends, boating, and ice skating parties. Much of his leisure time was spent playing golf, taking family vacations (many of which involved golf), a favorite being the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was a long standing member of Maple Dale Country Club, a season ticket holder of his favorite Philadelphia Eagles for many years, and a Thursday night regular of Sambo's Tavern, where you can still see his office sign above his favorite table.

Ed was very proud of both of his children graduating from Clemson University and remained a huge fan of Clemson football. He was an avid reader (non-fiction only) and loved learning about steam engines, airplanes, World War 2, among many other topics, and he loved his jazz music.

Eventually Ed and Evelyn moved to Houston, TX in 2008 to spend more time with their grandchildren and live out their retirement. They continued to enjoy visiting their favorite restaurants, cheering on their teams from afar and traveling to various locations including the Grand Canyon, Alaska, and state capitals across the country.

Ed lived a great life and will always be known as a wonderful person and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
