Alba Yolanda Santanilla de Lozada

Born in Armero, Colombia the 19th of September 1934, in the home of Angel Maria Santanilla Quintero and Melania Osorio de Santanilla. Alba was raised alongside her siblings Hernando, Roberto (R.I.P.), Irlanda (R.I.P.), and Jaime. She completed her primary and secondary education at the American School of Bogota. On the 26th of December 1956, she married Jesus Ernesto Lozada Arbelaez (R.I.P.), a union which brought their children Patricia Yolanda, Juan Javier, Juan Andrés, and Juan Rodrigo. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Lucia Cristina Pineda Gonzalez, as well as her grand-children Sergio Andres Losada Pineda and Maria Lucia Lozada Lopez. Alba was an exemplary daughter, devoted always to her parents and siblings. An exceptional wife and loving mother, together with her husband Jesus Ernesto she taught the values and principles that guided their lives and served as their legacy for their children and grand-children. Leaving a legacy of immense love, respect, honesty, understanding, and compassion among many other virtues that always accompanied her, to not only her children and grand-children, but to anyone else who knew her. Her children feel fortunate and grateful for the home into which they were born as well as the wonderful parents, who with infinite love and responsibility, fulfilled all the duties inherited the day they joined their lives. Rest in peace Alba Yolanda.

Friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, at Windwood Church, 10555 Spring Cypress Rd., Houston, TX 77070.

Alba Yolanda Santanilla de Lozada.

Nació en Armero, Colombia el 19 de septiembre de 1934 en el hogar formado por ángel María Santanilla Quintero y Melania Osorio de Santanilla. Creció junto a sus hermanos Hernando, Roberto (q.e.p.d.) Irlanda (q.e.p.d.) y Jaime. Cursó sus estudios primarios y secundarios en el Colegio Americano de Bogotá. Contrajo matrimonio con Jesús Ernesto Lozada Arbeláez (q.e.p.d.) el 26 de diciembre de 1956 y de cuya unión nacieron sus hijos Patricia Yolanda, Juan Javier, Juan Andrés y Juan Rodrigo. También le sobreviven su nuera Lucia Cristina Pineda González, sus nietos Sergio Andrés Losada Pineda y María Lucía Lozada López. Fue una hija ejemplar y comprometida siempre con sus padres y hermanos. Excepcional esposa y madre amorosa, que en compañía de su esposo Jesús Ernesto enseñaron los valores y principios que rigieron su vida y es el gran legado que hoy deja a sus hijos y nietos. Un legado de inmenso amor, respeto, honestidad, comprensión y compasión entre otras muchas virtudes que siempre la acompañaron, no solamente para su familia sino también para quienes la conocieron. Sus hijos se sienten afortunados y agradecidos del hogar donde nacieron y de esos maravillosos padres que cumplieron con infinito amor y responsabilidad todas las obligaciones que contrajeron el día que decidieron unir sus vidas.
