Alan Leroy Meliti

May 9, 1941- May 30, 2018

His relationship with the Lord created a Legacy that is passing to ongoing generations. He was a man truly blessed by God for he found his wife.  "He who finds a wife finds happiness; it is a favor he receives from the Lord", (Proverbs 18:22).  This was a man who gave Life to all who was around him, a person who was brought up deeply wounded but saved through God's mercy and grace through his relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ, who allowed him to express his love in the most Excellent way.  Alan was born in Little Ferry, New Jersey on May 9, 1941; his parents were Columbus and Agnes Meliti.  He was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School (Class of 1959) and Stony Brook University.  He joined the Army right after high school and was honorably discharged.  He was married soon after to his loving wife of fifty-five years Antoinette Manganaro.  Alan was a volunteer fire fighter and had a long career in HVAC sales. He was a servant of the Lord, administered to the prison ministry, served as a Eucharistic Minister, faithfully attended early morning mass, and devoted himself to Adoration. He loved Food, Wine, and Friends.  He loved the water and grew up by the ocean.  He moved to Texas in 1979 escaped the cold and embraced his new life as a Texan.  He loved boating and everything by the sea.  He had chapters and chapters of friends; he leaves behind a wake of these memories.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Marie Meliti, father, Columbus Meliti, mother Anges Breide, step-mother Jean Meliti, and brother, Richard Luchesi, father and mother-in-law Vito and Mildred Manganaro, brother and sister-in laws Jerry and Betty Manganaro and Poki Luchesi.

His Wife: Antoinette Meliti; Two Daughters and Son-in-Laws: Deborah and Roy Espinoza and Danielle and Chris Whitlock; Grandchildren: Izabella, Jack Espinoza and Sophia, Jacob, and Luke Whitlock; Siblings: Gloria Diletto, and Bobby Luchesi ; Sister-In-Laws and Brother-In-Laws: Katherine and John Vanderoef, Florean and Ed Mader, Barbara and Bob Rispoli, Richie and Anita Manganaro; Nieces and Nephews:  Pamela, Leah, Johnny, Thomas, Robert, Jason, Anthony, Matthew, Jennifer, Lisa, Jacqueline, Jessica and Michael.
