In Loving Memory of Alan Lawrence Gardipee

May 21, 1950 - March 2, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Alan Gardipee has passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on March 2, 2024 at the age of 73.

Born on May 21, 1950, in Green Bay, WI, Alan was the beloved son of Gordon Francis Gardipee and Carol Jean Marie (Detrie) Gardipee.

Alan would entertain his family with stories of his childhood adventures with his siblings and cousins. He was an Eagle Scout and loved playing sports with his brothers and friends, especially as quarterback in a Green Bay city league. An alumnus of University of Wisconsin, Alan excelled academically and later pursued a successful career in the commercial construction industry and as a real estate investor. He established Trademark Construction LLC in Houston which built a legacy of hard work, dedication, and compassion.

Alan married Becky Jean Burns on June 20,1975. They enjoyed 51 years together attending and coaching kids sports, traveling on multiple international trips, and exploring the nation in their motorhome. Alan loved taking his wife Becky to concerts, art museums, and national parks around the country.

Family meant everything to Alan, and he leaves behind a profound impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. Alan is survived by four children and their partners: Stacy and Paul Skrzypczak, Erin and Nic Armstrong, Colin Gardipee and Virginia Rojas, Lauren and Cody Brown.

He is remembered by his grandchildren: Leonardo Gardipee, Jackson James, Charlie Gardipee, Julien Gardipee, Mollie Brown, Bonnie Brown, Santiago Azuarte, and Mathias Azuarte who were a constant source of joy and pride for him. Alan had a charismatic personality that touched children's hearts.

He leaves behind seven siblings and their families: Glenn and Dorothy (Knoener) Gardipee, Chris Garr, Diane Gardipee, Lynn (Gardipee) Austin, Gail and Ted Jindrich, Ron and Margaret (Poirier) Gardipee, Amy Gardipee and Becky's siblings: Mary (Burns)and James Siegler, Tom and Jill (Murphy) Burns, Susan (Burns) and Jeff Gussert. Along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Alan's parents and in-laws Eugene Irvin Burns and Marlene Ann (Papenfus) Burns and brother-in-law Michael Patrick Burns preceded him in passing.

He will be remembered for his captivating smile, sense of humor, nodding his head along to his music, enjoying a good meal, making a perfect Wisconsin Old Fashioned, and how deeply he loved his family. He was a man of strong faith who cherished his wife and always made time for his kids and grandkids.

A celebration of Alan's life for friends and family will take place on Thursday, April 11th from 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM at Hochzeit Hall, 427 Gentry Street, Spring, TX 77373 providing an opportunity to come together for remembrance and to commemorate the wonderful life he shared with all of us.
