It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Agnes J. Arredondo on May 28, 2023. Born on October 13, 1928, in Sewickley, PA, the daughter of John W. Latshaw and Alice (Ayres) Latshaw. On December 11, 1980, she married Ben Hinojosa Arrendondo. Agnes worked at the Airport as a short-order cook in PA. Agnes lived a life full of love, warmth, and compassion. Agnes will always be remembered for her kind and nurturing spirit. Her sweet, and caring personality won the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Throughout her life, Agnes demonstrated an incredible talent for a variety of pursuits, including baking, crocheting, and gardening. Her baking skills were truly extraordinary, and her delicious creations brought joy and comfort to friends and family alike. The beautiful crocheting projects she lovingly crafted will continue to serve as cherished keepsakes for those fortunate enough to have received her handmade works of art. As we mourn the loss of Agnes Arredondo, we also celebrate the life she led and the countless positive impacts she had on those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded by death; her husband, Ben Arrendondo, her sister Sadie, her two brothers John F. Latshaw and Wallace Latshaw, her son-in-law Gary, and many others.

She is survived by her daughter Susan, Grandson Scott, and his wife Nicole, her granddaughters Melissa and her husband Jeremey, and Elizabeth and her husband Nick. Her PA family members are Alice, Carol John, and Karen. Linda, Patty, Sandy, and many family members. As well as seven great-grandsons, Stephen, Logan, Carter, Brian, Lucas, Brantley, and Hudson. Also, numerous friends were considered family to her.

She will be buried with her husband, Ben, at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
