Adrienne Claudia Bunney Delamater, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Fountainview Continuing Care neighborhood of Highland Springs Senior Living community in Dallas, TX.

Born in Peekskill, NY on August 20, 1935, Adrienne was a graduate of Peekskill High School in 1954 where she was affectionately known as a "high stepping lass, bewitching wand waiver, and such fun to be with."    She enjoyed twirling her baton as a majorette in the marching band and pep band, as well as being a part of the Washington Club, Girl's student league, Ushers Guild, and yearbook staff.  Upon graduation, she found a job that she loved as a teller at a local Peekskill bank.

On May 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Patrick Delamater, also of Peekskill.  Together they had 2 children and were actively involved in the First Baptist Church of Peekskill, NY until her husband's job took them to the Spring, TX area in 1980 where they were active members of Champion Forest Baptist Church.  Being an avid baseball fan, she quickly became attached to the Astros and even had season tickets for several years.

August of 2021brought her and her husband to the Highland Springs community in the Dallas area where she remained a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother for the remainder of her life, although she could never bring herself to root for the Rangers, even though they won the World Series.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Pat Delamater, Sr; son, Pat Delamater, Jr and wife Nancy; daughter Lynda Delamater Becker and husband Les; 2 grandsons, Patrick Delamater, III (Trey) and Jacob Delamater; 2 granddaughters, Ally Kelley and husband Jake; Samantha Morrison and husband Tom; 1 great-grandson Weston Morrison; and her brother, Gene Bunney and wife Suezell.
