Obituary

Adrienne Brianna Cutburth, 37, of The Woodlands, passed from this life on November 24, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born September 09, 1981 in the Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. to Larry and Ginny Cutburth. Adrienne was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Phyllis Daniel (maternal) and Catherine Alcox (paternal) and her great grandparents, Ernest and Margaret Kauffman (maternal) and Pete Cutburth and Ethyl Griffitts (paternal).   Adrienne survived a very long, hard-fought battle that covered a rare form of AML leukemia, lymphoma  and aplastic anemia, some of which she had survived multiple remissions. In May, Adrienne entered   MD Anderson Hospital at the Houston Medical Center for a bone marrow transplant. However, after three separate back-to-back transplants she suffered every known side effect possible. She tackled each
of these side effects with the courage, perseverance and tenacity she has always been known for…like a true warrior!!
Though we mourn the loss of her in our daily lives, Adrienne's fight and her journey through this life were done on her terms with integrity, courage, grace and dignity. Adrienne passed from this life surrounded by family in her home with peace and finally a freedom from the terrible pain the cancer had placed upon her. There is not a day that will go by that we do not think of her…her infectious smile, keen mind and generous heart. Adrienne was family-oriented and would move heaven and earth for
those she cared about. A paramedic, Adrienne loved helping others and excelled at what she regarded as her calling, rather than just a job. She carried a special place in her heart for pediatric cancer patients and devoted most of her free time during the last decade or so helping to lighten the pain of those children with laughter and fun. There will be endless stories and memories of Adrienne's whimsical wit, energized humor, infectious laughter and Supergirl heroics. She will also be missed by the plethora of
friends she has made over the years through school, music, college basketball, modeling, etc. In all that we do, let us live our lives in a way that honors Adrienne and her memory, and let us all be comforted by the knowledge that we will see her again on the other side.
