Aditi Jones passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by beauty, prayer, and the devoted care of her family.

Born in 1967 in New Delhi, India, Aditi pursued a life defined by the search for Truth in all its forms. She built a distinguished career in academic medicine and epidemiology, serving as a research scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where she contributed meaningfully to the healing of the body. In time her scholarly gaze turned inward from the sciences of the body to the metaphysical sciences of the soul. She devoted her later years to the study of philosophy, developing a substantial body of original writing on the Thomistic tradition and the great Catholic thinkers of the twentieth century (Jacques Maritain, Étienne Gilson, and Josef Pieper) alongside deeply personal meditations on faith, contemplation, and the life of the intellect.

She was a woman of serene and quiet faith and extraordinary compassion. She gave of her time freely and generously to all who sought her - family, friends, and strangers alike - and the lives she touched are beyond counting. She presided over a home filled with books, conversation, and the belief that Truth is worth pursuing at any cost. Among her cherished possessions was the large and lovingly preserved library she inherited from her beloved husband, Steve, who predeceased her - a library that stood as a testament to a shared life of the mind and heart. She is now reunited with him in love.

A gifted scientist and a contemplative philosopher, Aditi brought the same disciplined mind and tender heart to every pursuit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Aditi is survived by her mother, Savitri; her daughter, Desiree; her sister, Snigdha; her brother-in-law, Satpal; her brother, Sandeep; her sister-in-law, Sapna; four beloved nieces, Nisha, Natasha, Ayshali, and Ashima and their spouses, Puneet and Romeen; two grand-nephews, Jai Raj and Abhimanyu; and two grandnieces, Jiya and Leela.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor followed by burial alongside her husband in Buford, GA.
