Adelina Quinones Avila, 91 years of age, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023. She was born November 6, 1931 to the late Pablo and Delfina Quinones in Maxwell, Texas.

She married Jessie Avila, Sr. on October 12, 1949 and they were married for 59 years.

Adelina and Jessie were strong believers in Jesus Christ, as their personal Savior, a spiritual gift they shared with their children, family and friends.

Adelina is survived by her children, Melba Avila Scudder (Stephen) of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul Anthony Avila, Sr. (Patsy) of Montgomery, TX, Steven Avila (Hilary) of Norman, OK, Patricia Anne Avila Jansen (Henry) of Cedar Park, TX, Dwayne Avila of Navasota, TX, and William Edward Avila of Kingston, OK.

Adelina is also survived by her sisters, Ophelia Quinones Mesorano, Mary Lou Quinones Garcia, Sylvia Quinones Mireles, brothers, Alfonso Quinones and Armando Quinones.

Adelina leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Adelina was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Avila, Sr., son Jessie Avila Sr., son Jessie Avila, Jr., daughter Nancy Avila, grandson Paul A. Avila Jr., brother Arthur Quinones and sister Gloria Quinones Jackson.
