Abdel Hernandez, 41,  lost his two year battle with cancer on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 surrounded by family.  He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Yaima and 9 year old daughter, Annabelle. His parents Jose R. and Osaida Hernandez; older brother, Caleb Hernandez and wife Matyuri and their two children Hanne and Isaac; his younger brother Daniel Hernandez, wife Sindy and their two children Sophia and Jake.

Abdel lived to serve God and others. His commitment to his family, church, and workplace was irreproachable. His character was witty, he loved entertaining and pleasing others. His faith irrevocable and strong. He loved the outdoors, fishing, driving his truck, watching and playing all sports, especially soccer; and politics. But his true passion was to serve in the family of Christ, worshiping and honoring our Lord.

Though his life with us was short, the memories are plenty. His legacy will live on as a loyal and loving, honest, funny and talented son, brother, husband, father and friend.

The family thanks the support and prayers of hundreds of friends and the care of the compassionate staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
